When I prepare for the upcoming week I typically consider WHAT is on my agenda. Focusing on “WHAT” leads me to approach my week as a series of tasks to do and accomplish.
An alternate viewpoint is to consider WHO is on my agenda. Focusing on “WHO” leads me to approach my week as a series of encounters with people that God places in my life. The shift is from productivity – getting things done – to relationships – being present with / for others.
I believe God is more pleased with the latter perspective – being present over being productive.
