I have been keeping this mantra — Surrender & Yield — on the forefront of my mind lately as a reminder that I am not in control — (I so want to be!) — and must surrender and yield to a higher authority. For me this is surrendering and yielding to God’s will, trusting He knows what is best for me. So I surrender the big picture, and focus on receiving the gift God has for me each day — striving to accept each moment, each breath, with gratitude as a purposeful, precious gift. I remind myself to yield when I encounter “traffic” — pausing to slow down and merge into the pattern or “lane” of God’s will, God’s plan, God’s speed.
Surrender & Yield
